HourSquare Officially Established - Development Begins
On January 22, 2026, HourSquare was officially established, marking the beginning of a new era in workforce management solutions.
We are thrilled to announce that HourSquare was officially established on January 22, 2026. The day marks the beginning of our journey to build modern HR software designed for small and mid-sized teams that have outgrown spreadsheets but cannot justify enterprise platforms like Personio or Workday.
Our founding team has spent years inside HR, payroll, and engineering teams across Europe and the South Caucasus, and we kept hitting the same problem: existing tools either assume you have a dedicated HR director or they price the small employer out before the first feature loads. HourSquare is the answer we wanted to deploy in our own companies.
What development covers in the first six months
The platform launches with five connected modules:
- Employee onboarding with task templates and document workflows
- Leave management aligned with national statutory rules (EU, US, and Georgian Labor Code)
- Time tracking for office, hybrid, and remote teams
- Payroll integration with country-specific tax handling
- AI-generated weekly HR briefs for founders and people leaders
