Long weekends and bridge days in Uganda

A long weekend is three or more days off in a row made by a nationwide holiday and the weekend. A bridge day is a working day with a day off on both sides: one leave day there joins a holiday to the weekend, or two holidays to each other.

Friday 1 January to Sunday 3 January 2027: 3 days off, with New Year's Day.
Saturday 6 March to Monday 8 March 2027: 3 days off, with International Women's Day.
Friday 26 March to Monday 29 March 2027: 4 days off, with Good Friday, Easter Monday.

Bridge days (3)

Monday 25 January: one leave day gives 4 days off in a row, Saturday 23 January to Tuesday 26 January 2027 (next to Liberation Day).
Monday 15 February: one leave day gives 4 days off in a row, Saturday 13 February to Tuesday 16 February 2027 (next to Archbishop Janani Luwum Day).
Friday 4 June: one leave day gives 4 days off in a row, Thursday 3 June to Sunday 6 June 2027 (next to Martyrs' Day).
