Long weekends and bridge days in Russia
A long weekend is three or more days off in a row made by a nationwide holiday and the weekend. A bridge day is a working day with a day off on both sides: one leave day there joins a holiday to the weekend, or two holidays to each other.
Long weekends (2)
- Friday 1 January to Thursday 7 January 2027: 7 days off, with New Year's Day, New Year holiday, New Year holiday, New Year holiday, Christmas Day (Orthodox).
- Saturday 6 March to Monday 8 March 2027: 3 days off, with International Women's Day.
Bridge days (3)
- Friday 8 January: one leave day gives 10 days off in a row, Friday 1 January to Sunday 10 January 2027 (next to Christmas Day (Orthodox)).
- Monday 22 February: one leave day gives 4 days off in a row, Saturday 20 February to Tuesday 23 February 2027 (next to Defender of the Fatherland Day).
- Friday 5 November: one leave day gives 4 days off in a row, Thursday 4 November to Sunday 7 November 2027 (next to Unity Day).
Regional holidays are left out of both lists: they depend on where the employee works.
