Pricing: quote-only versus published
Sloneek does not publish prices. The vendor pricing page describes billing per active user with month-to-month plan changes and a 14-day trial before payment details are required, but the per-user rate comes from a quote. That is workable for a company with a procurement process; it is friction for a founder who wants to know the number today. HourSquare is free for now, every module, no card to sign up and no trial expiry. There are no minimum seats and no annual commitment.
Where Sloneek is stronger
Sloneek covers more of the HR surface than HourSquare. It has a performance module with evaluations, 360 feedback, skills and KPI/OKR tracking; an ATS; e-signature on documents; asset management; native iOS and Android apps; an open API with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira and Okta integrations; and a multi-entity structure for holdings. Its product is localised in Czech, Slovak, Polish and Italian as well as English. If you need reviews and hiring in the same system, or you must integrate with other tools by API, Sloneek has those pieces today and HourSquare does not.
Where HourSquare is stronger for a self-serve team
Payroll is the clearest gap. Sloneek prepares payroll by activity and exports it for an accountant; it does not run pay in the product. HourSquare runs pay runs, produces payslips and generates payment files and accountant exports, with tax packs for 24+ countries, and its timesheets feed those runs directly. HourSquare also lists shift patterns as a first-class module, where Sloneek describes shift planning on a lexicon page but not in its functions list. On security, HourSquare includes 2FA with passkeys for every company, while Sloneek limits multi-factor authentication to its Enterprise package via SMS. Both offer SSO (Sloneek via Okta; HourSquare via Okta, Microsoft Entra and Google) and an audit log.
Migration: CSV export, no connector
There is no connector between Sloneek and HourSquare. Moving means exporting employee records and absence data from Sloneek as CSV and setting up HourSquare from those files. HourSquare's public API does not import employee records, so a scripted sync from Sloneek's open API is not possible on the receiving side. Performance history and ATS pipelines have no destination in HourSquare and would need to stay in Sloneek or in exported files.
